MA graduates of HDK-Valand Steneby’s Applied Arts & Design programme present their exam work.

In(timate)formations – speculations on the matter of making´exhibits the exam work from the Masters Programme in Applied Arts and Design at HDK-Valand Steneby including students from Metal Art, Textile-Body-Space and Wood Oriented Furniture Design. The work is representative of two years studio based investigative studies, and addresses a broad range of thinking on materiality and physicality. How traditional craft relates to furniture design, notions of beauty in danger, how hand-woven clothing can connect us, how the assembly of knock-down furniture can enhance our personal experiences, how costumes inspired by the folklore traditions of Dalsland can stress the role of the forest in our lives today.
