This program is intended for those interested in artistic metal crafts. It offers basic know-how in iron forging, making jewellery, silver work, general workshop techniques, sketching methodology, colour and form. The program can be seen as a supplement to existing studies or serve as eligibility for continued studies at post-secondary levels.

Through practice with various techniques, materials and forms you will increase your skills in each separate area. Developing imagination, creativity and an inquiring attitude are important ingredients in the process of moving from concept to finished object.

The program has a complete silver smithy, a blacksmith's workshop with 12 forges and a well-equipped mechanical workshop. Every student has a personal workstation, as well as access to studios for drawing, painting and 3-D work.

It is possible for you to attend only one of the two years and, as space allows and to the extent you have completed the necessary prerequisites deemed comparable to the first year, submit work samples as an application to the second year direct.

The instruction includes:
Model drawing and croquis, focusing on understanding the place of the model in space.
Picture, composition and understanding the role of pictures in communication and culture.
Colour and painting. Form and sculpture.
You will also carry out project assignments comprising adapted, multi-discipline challenges related to each artistic area.
