Application BFA Degree Programme
On first cycle (bachelor level) the main teaching language is Swedish, however Steneby is host to several international students and teachers. A summary of the different projects and courses will be given to you in English. You will also have tuition in English.
You apply to our programs with work samples as well as register on-line at www.antagning.se no later than April 16. As the online registration at www.antagning.se will be in Swedish please contact our study- and education coordinator Patricia Tolvanen Magnusson, patricia.tolvanen@steneby.se or +46 531 710 07 for information on how to register.
Note! The online registration will open on March 15 and the application will not be valid if you have not register and sent your work samples to Steneby – School of Craft and Design.
Work samples
The work samples should prove evidence of your artistic and technical skills through pictures, sketches, drawings and paintings. You will find more information about the work samples under the headline Application for the programme you wish to apply to.

Confirmation
You will get a confirmation by email one week after we received your work samples. If you don´t get a confirmation please contact our study- and education coordinator Patricia Tolvanen Magnusson, patricia.tolvanen@steneby.se or +46 531 710 07.
Your work samples will be returned under the condition that the return shipping of SEK 400 is paid no later than June 30 to the Bank account: BIC SWEDSESS IBAN SE8680000823471845065935 NOTE! Write your name.
You can pick up your work samples at Steneby until September 21, 2012. After that all work samples will be disposed. Steneby is not responsible for any damage or loss of work samples.
Entrance requirements
Apart from artistic and fundamental working skills in the materials and techniques for the area you are applying for you need to have general entry requirements and sufficient knowledge of English to fulfill the education.
In order to meet the general entrance requirements you must have graduated from upper secondary school with a complete education supported by certified copies of final and official diploma and transcripts, thereby meeting the general entrance requirements for higher education in your home country. You are required to send in your final diploma and your high school transcripts for all courses – including any transferred credits from previous universities.
If you lack general requirements but believe that you through other qualifications fulfill the requirements, such as other forms of education or work experience, you may be authorized by prior learning.
Selection
Selection is made based on the submitted material. The applicants will be assessed by an admission board. The assessment is equally based on your artistic as well as working skills. You may also by email be called to an interview or discussion.
Admission decision
In the beginning of June you will get a preliminary decision by email. In the middle of July you will get a decision from the Admission office.
Application and tuition fees
From the autumn term 2011 Swedish universities have introduced application and tuition fees for students from outside of EU/EEA and Switzerland.
The application fee is SEK 900 and tuition fee for our bachelor programs is SEK 200 000/year.

Personal Data Act (PUL)
According to the PUL (1998:204) and the regulation on reporting of studies at universities and colleges (2001:1133), applications will be treated in a data system. Steneby - The School of Craft and Design beeing an university college is also an authority governed by public law. This means that what is registered in our system is considered public domain and may be under the principle of public disclosure as long as there is no classified information. Steneby - The School of Craft and Design does not systematically disclose information to other businesses.
